Configure Options – General Tab – Message File Monitoring
This Feature allows automated messaging using a specialized text file format with a .dat extension. The DAT file
monitoring feature allows a comma delimited file to be automatically processed for recipients and messages
from a particular folder. Any file with a .dat extension that is saved to the target folder is processed and deleted.
To Choose a Folder other than the Default, Click the Browse Button.
The .dat file used for automated messaging consists of one or more lines of comma delimited values, of the
following form:
“recipient1”,”test message 1”
“recipient2”,”test message 2”
-Where the First Field in the line is the Name of a Recipient which is defined in the Recipients List in the WW
Enterprise Server.
-The Second Field is the Message that should be delivered to that Recipient.
-One or more lines of the above Format can be included in a Single File.
-The Name of the .dat file can be anything, e.g. automsg.dat.
-It is Recommended that the .dat files be randomly named, to Avoid File Collisions when High Volumes of .dat
files are Delivered to the Message File Monitoring folder.
